Life
Life after 40, hmmm.... yep, there is life after 40. I have been married to the same wonderful fella', Jim, for 19 years, we have a 15 year old daughter, Jenna -- moved from Fayetteville to sunny Florida in 1998. Best move of our life. Yes, we miss our family & friends, but there are so many opportunities in Florida. I work for SunCruz Casinos - handling insurance and claims for the gambling casino boats. (We have a location in Myrtle Beach if anyone needs free tickets!) My hubby & I ride Harleys on the weekends. I have a 2004 Dyna Super Glide - he has a 2005 Road King. So, yep, I'm a motorcycle mama - not a biker babe. Secretary of our local HOG chapter. Ride on Saturdays - Fish on Sundays & work Mon-Friday. School
Glad I'm through with school. Forget helping the kid with homework -don't remember any Algebra or Geometry! That's why you hire a tutor! ing old!) She sold her house off Ramsey Street - retired & went back to teaching - now at the new Grays Creek High School. She was a blast 25 years ago & hasn't changed one bit!
College
Been there - done that.... never used my degree in the work place. I guess I followed my mom's footsteps.... started in the insurance industry while still in college - never left it. Insurance has paid my bills all these years.... why change when I have a chance at winning the LOTTO!!
Workplace
Been in some sort of insurance field since 1983 - never changed fields - only jobs - for bigger & better things. Best move was to Florida - I net 3 times more than my gross in Fayetteville per week. Cost of living is a little higher - but so much to do, so many places to go in Florida - besides, I'm only 6 hours from NC if I get homesick! (NOT! :0) )
Military
Done that too! Basic in Fort Lost in the Woods in Misery aka Ft Leonardwood, Missouri! BRRR - it was cold over there ! Dry cold, compared to NC's wet cold!
Got out in 1981 - never looked back. Morse code wasn't for me..... dadadit, dadadit, didida, .......
